How Do I Use the Listening Library?

The new Listening Library is a wonderful way to set up a Spanish Listening Station in your classroom or home. Each CD has between one and four tracks related to a specific theme. The bright and colorful pictures on the CD cover help the child identify the topic of the content. This allows the child freedom to choose what he wants to listen to.
The Listening Library will become an integral part of your classroom that children will want to use every day! The following is a description of the three genres of CD’s included in the Listening Library
Listening Work - Songs
The child will listen and sing along to songs of a specific theme. The picture on the CD jacket will help the child identify the theme. For advanced enrichment, introduce the appropriate Matching, Card-Placement, and 3-Part Card Work.
Listening Work - Sounds
The child will listen to different sounds and point to the corresponding pictures on the CD jacket. Then, the child will hear and repeat the Spanish vocabulary. For advanced enrichment, introduce the appropriate Matching, Card-Placement, and 3-Part Card Work.
Listening Work - Stories
The child will listen to the reading of a story book and follow along. A guitar strum will signify when to turn the page.
