How Do I Use the Montessori Spanish Three-Part Card Work?

The Montessori Spanish Three-Part Cards are used with children who have mastered the matching work. This work enhances reading and speaking skills by connecting written words to pictures. The following are detailed instructions on how to use Three-Part Cards effectively:

Set up: Place each control card in a horizontal row at the top of the rug. Put the picture cards and word cards in separate stacks at the bottom of the rug.

Stage 1: Hold up each control card, identify the card in Spanish, and have the child repeat.

Stage 2: Have the child match a picture card to the control card by placing the picture card directly underneath the control card. The child may then repeat the word in Spanish. Once all the picture cards have been matched, have the child match the word card to the picture card by holding the word card under each control card until a match is found. The child may then repeat the word in Spanish.

Stage 3: The child does the Three-Part Card Work without assistance.
